FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police in Fox Crossing are looking for the owners of two dogs that attacked and killed a cat.
Around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, an officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Sunset Lane for a report of an in-progress animal attack.
The dogs were described as a pit-bull mix with one of the dogs having a tan coat and the other having a grey/reddish/tan coat with a white stomach.
The two dogs attacked the cat in the ditch and caused fatal injuries.
An early 2000’s white sedan, similar to a Chevy Impala, drove to the scene where it retrieved both dogs and fled the area.
Occupants were only described as a late 20’s to early 30’s, male, black, with dreadlocks and a white female of larger stature.
The homeowner did strike the vehicle on the left rear bumper with a metal shovel which may have caused minor damage to the paint.
It is unknown where the dog owner lives, but presumably has ties to either Fox Crossing or Menasha.
Anyone in the area of the attack is encouraged to look through their security or doorbell camera footage for the dog owner vehicle.
If you can provide any assistance, contact Officer Tubbs, or anyone at the Fox Crossing Police Department at (920) 720-7109, send a Facebook PM, or use the Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers P3 app to report anonymously.
