One Week Left to Get Free Shirt for Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup

APPLETON, WI — Volunteers have one week left to register for the 2026 Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup and guarantee a free event t-shirt.
The annual cleanup takes place the morning of Saturday, May 2, bringing together more than 1,500 volunteers across 65+ sites throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Locations span the Fox-Wolf Watershed, including communities from Green Bay to Oshkosh and along the Lake Winnebago shoreline.
Trash left on the ground doesn’t stay there. Rain carries it into storm drains, rivers, and lakes, where it impacts water quality and wildlife.
Anyone who signs up by March 31 is guaranteed this year’s volunteer shirt. The winning color, River Mist Purple, was selected through an online vote on social media.
Last year, nearly 1,800 volunteers removed more than 8,000 pounds of trash from waterways, parks, and public spaces across the watershed.
“Show up for a few hours, and you can see the difference right away,” said Jessica Schultz, Executive Director of the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance. “That trash was headed for our rivers and lakes.”
Volunteers can still register through April to participate, but the free shirt is only guaranteed for those who sign up by March 31.
After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a family-friendly celebration picnic at Telulah Park in Appleton, featuring games, activities, raffles, and prizes.
