GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Plans for an addition to the Brown County Library’s downtown location, and the razing of a former bank building for more parking, will be reviewed by a city panel on Monday.
The Brown County Library wants to remodel the Central Library with an addition to house a café, and the Brown County Aging and Disability Resource Center.
The county board previously approved spending up to $30 million to relocate the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
The Job Center of Wisconsin’s Brown County location moved into the 51-year-old library building last September.
The plans also including tearing down the former Bank Mutual building across the street to the south, 201 N. Monroe Ave., to create 54 parking spaces.
The Plan Commission reviews the proposal at 6 p.m. Monday. It is in room 604 of City Hall, 100 N. Jefferson Street.
