(LEARFIELD, WNFL) – The Brewers made significant roster cuts Thursday by sending last year’s starting centerfielder, Blake Perkins, and a potential member of the starting staff, Logan Henderson, to the minors.
Tyler Black and Cooper Pratt were also sent down.
The moves indicate that outfielder Brandon Lockridge has earned a spot on the Opening Day roster.
Currently, there are 34 players remaining in major league camp.
Romp over the Rangers: In a late night spring training game, the Brewers beat the Rangers 11-4.
Andrew Vaughn and David Hamilton both had 2 hits. Christian Yelich had a 3-run home run.
Brandon Woodruff started and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk over 3 innings.
Tyler Megill and Jared Koenig each pitched a scoreless inning.
The Brewers play the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at 8:10.
