SILVER CLIFF, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The town of Silver Cliff again has insurance coverage.
The Marinette County town closed its facilities March 9 because coverage from its previous provider lapsed, and new coverage wasn’t obtained in time.
However, at a special town board meeting Saturday, a new plan was approved, said chair Dee Farley.
“We procured insurance at a comparable rate,” she said, but did not provide specifics. “I am excited to have this all behind us!”
During the interim, the town worked with Athelstane to provide fire and rescue coverage.
Silver Cliff is about 20 miles northwest of Marinette.
