WAUSHARA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The name of the woman who was allegedly stabbed to death by her grandson was released by the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office.
Patricia Mae Glenn, 75, was found deceased in her Mount Morris home Saturday after her family requested a welfare check.
According to the criminal complaint, Glenn’s grandson, Randy Jenks, 36, had told a family member he “stabbed grandma in the living room, on the floor.”
Jenks had been living with his grandmother for over a year.
During a search of the home, investigators found Glenn lying on the floor with dried blood around her and a folding knife covered in blood on a table, the complaint reads.
Family members told police, Jenks has a history of mental health issues and could have gone to a relative’s home in Ogden, Utah.
Jenks was located in Ogden by Utah police Sunday and was taken into custody without incident.
When officers spoke to Jenks, he admitted to stabbing his grandmother, saying she had “pushed him too far,” the complaint reads.
He also texted another family member and stated he stabbed his grandmother in the neck and ran, the complaint says, because he was scared.
Jenks is charged with first degree intentional homicide in Wisconsin.
