GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A downtown Green Bay arts center sustained about $80,000 worth of damage after a fire.
Crews were called to Urban Cultural Arts Center at 906 E. Walnut Street around 8 a.m. Friday for a report of a fire.
When crews arrived, they saw smoke filling the building and venting from the roof.
Shortly after firefighters went inside the building, the area of origin was located and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Crews remained on scene to ventilate the building and conduct overhaul to locate and extinguish any remaining hot spots.
No one was hurt.
The building sustained heavy smoke damage throughout.
