(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – The Horizon League announced the #HLMBB All-League Awards Monday afternoon, and the Green Bay men’s basketball team had multiple individuals honored. Preston Ruedinger was named All-League Second Team, and C.J. O’Hara was named All-League Third Team.
Ruedinger was one of two Phoenix players to start all 31 games this season. Through the regular season, he averaged 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and finished third in the Horizon League at 5.3 assists per game. He is also second in the Horizon League in assist/turnover ratio at 3.7. Ruedinger is first on the team in minutes per game, averaging 35.1. He scored a career-high 30 points vs. Haskell Indian Nations on Nov. 29 and hit a game-winning three-pointer to defeat Northern Kentucky 87-84 in overtime on Feb. 4. The Oshkosh native made history with a career-high 13 assists vs UCSB on Dec. 17, the seventh-most in a game in program history.
is the other Phoenix to start all 31 games for Green Bay this season, averaging a team-high 14.2 points, while also finishing second on the team in rebounds per game, at 4.5. O’Hara scored in double figures 26 times this season, including 11 straight games to end the regular season. O’Hara scored a career-high 23 points at Northern Kentucky on Feb. 4.
