Off to the World Baseball Classic: Nine Brewers left spring training camp Sunday to join their teams for the World Baseball Classic.
They will be away for at least a week and a half, providing an opportunity for some younger players still fighting for a roster spot.
Tyler Black, Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, Joey Ortiz, Carlos Rodriguez, Brice Turang, Abner Uribe, Rob Zastryzny, and Angel Zerpe are playing in the WBC.
That means rookies like Jett Williams and Jeferson Quero will get more at-bats and innings in the field. WBC games start at the end of this week.
