GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A May 18 trial date was set Monday for Elijah White in connection with his alleged role in a drug deal-related murder in Green Bay.
White, 19, is charged with being party to first-degree intentional homicide and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the Aug. 7, 2024, death of Brandon Ramirez. Monday’s court hearing was listed as a plea hearing for White, but no deal has been reached.
Four others are also charged in the case. Three face counts of being party to first-degree intentional homicide and conspiracy to commit armed robbery:
- Darian Pinchart had a plea hearing scheduled for last Friday, but court records have not been updated.
- Dion Richardson has a plea hearing March 26.
- Nigel White has a status conference April 13
Also charged is Rosemary Williams, who faces felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery counts. She has a status conference May 29.
Richardson told police he made a deal to buy a half-pound of marijuana from Ramirez for $430.
“Dion told me everything happened so fast and the gun was on his head and he grabbed it. Dion said again he pointed the gun at him and told him to give me all that, give me that cash… Dion said once they got to Berner he pointed the gun right at him and the girl hoped over and started driving off while he was tussling over the gun. While tussling the gun went off, he hoped out the car, started rolling, hurt his leg and was limping when he went to Darian’s house,” a complaint states.
However, the woman who was driving the vehicle gave a different version. She was on Berner Street when another person entered the car.
“She heard the man behind her immediately say, ‘Don’t Move’ and observed a black gun raised between her and (Ramirez) who was seated in the front passenger seat. (The woman) heard a gunshot and said the noise deafened her right ear and caused her to panic, suddenly realized (Ramirez) was shot in the head,” the complaint states.
Ramirez died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the autopsy cited in the complaint.
