GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — By this summer, the Appleton International Airport (ATW) will offer 13 daily flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
ATW projects a 24% growth in seats for the second half of 2026, focused on increased demands in business travel.
“We’ve always established our customer journey around the business traveler, understanding that they really do value the convenience and the speed that you can get through Appleton airport,” said ATW Director Abe Weber. “And that’s why we focused on our Express Park, our Express Bags. Shortening the TSA lines with Pre-Check and just generally working with the TSA to make that as efficient as possible. So, we recognize that if it’s going to work really well for the business traveler, it’s also going to work for the leisure traveler.”
ATW flies nonstop to 23 destinations — the second most of any Wisconsin airport, behind only General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee. Weber said ATW focuses on drawing business travelers, believing leisure travelers will follow.
“Appleton was really built as a business traveler airport, until more recently seeing Allegiant come in, establish their base and then offering such great nonstop destinations that they provide,” Weber said.
