NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police have arrested a School District of New London employee after a drug search in the Lincoln Elementary parking lot turned up cocaine.
On Feb. 12, police conducted a K9 drug search in the Lincoln Elementary Parking Lot. The K9 alerted on a vehicle in the parking lot.
Officers contacted the registered owner, an employee of the School District of New London, as part of the investigation.
The employee was found in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The employee was taken to Waupaca County Jail on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The New London Police Department worked with the School District of New London to notify the parents/guardians and staff directly affected.
The incident is under investigation and at this time no further information is available.
