(BREWERS/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers made it official Monday, announcing that they have signed infielder Luis Rengifo to a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2027.
He batted .238 with 9 home runs and 43 RBI in 2025 over 147 games for the Los Angeles Angels. The switch-hitter is a career .250 hitter.
The announcement was made by President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Matt Arnold.
Brewers predicted for third: The Brewers are just like Rodney Dangerfield, apparently.
They get no respect.
Multiple projections have them finishing third in the National League Central during the 2026 season.
Veteran outfielder Christian Yelich tells MLB-dot-com: “It’s the same story every year,” saying Brewers players, “Just don’t care.” I
t’s worked in the past. If they claim another division title, it will be the fourth in four years.
