(ST. NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College freshman Kamdan Johnson has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
Johnson, a Florence native and graduate, broke the NACC record in the 60-meter hurdles at the UW-Whitewater Squig Converse Invite, clocking in at 9.04 seconds, breaking the previous record of 9.05 seconds.
The award is the second for Johnson as an individual and third overall this season.
Klitzke nabs award: St. Norbert College junior Jacob Klitzke has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
Klitzke, a Shiocton native and graduate, once again set new school records in the weight throw and shot put at the UW-Parkside Lake Michigan Open. In the weight throw, he went for 56 feet 11 inches while going for 55 feet 10 3/4 inches in the shot put. His mark in the shot put is currently the eighth best in Division III this season.
The award is the eighth in his career.
