(UW ATHLETICS) – The WCHA announced this Monday that Junior Cassie Hall and Senior Vivian Jungels collected weekly distinctions after multi-point games against No. 3 Minnesota this past weekend.
After a 3-2 loss on Friday’s game of the series, the Badgers were fueled with fire to collect a 6-1 victory on Saturday. Hall and Jungels scored five of the six goals for UW, with each of them adding in an assist as well.
Cassie Hall was awarded the Forward of the Week award after her hat-trick in Saturday’s game. This is the junior’s second-ever hat-trick, her first being in September of her freshman year against Lindenwood. In her past two seasons as a Badger, Hall has nine multi-goal games. It’s the first WCHA Forward of the Week award in Hall’s career.
Senior Vivian Jungels secured the WCHA Defender of the Week award following her two-goal performance on Saturday, the first multi-goal effort of her four-year career. The Edina, Minnesota native has gathered four goals and 10 assists in her final season as a Badger. Jungels previously won the award on Feb. 10, 2025, where she also put up two goals and one assist in a series against Minnesota.
Both Hall and Jungels will be joined by the rest of the Badger crew to play Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7 and 8, in a series against No. 2 Ohio State at LaBahn Arena. Saturday’s game begins at 3 p.m. CT and airs on Big Ten Network.
