MAUSTON, Wis. – Cattle producers from across the state are invited to attend the 2026 Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association (WCA) Winter Conference and Annual Meeting, set for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at The Lodge at Mauston.
This premier educational and networking event is open to both WCA members and non-members and will feature nationally recognized rancher, entrepreneur, and agricultural advocate Tucker Brown as the keynote speaker.
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., followed by the WCA Annual Meeting at 10:00 a.m. Attendees will hear updates from WCA leadership and national policy insights from Sigrid Johannes, Senior Director of Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Jordan Lamb, WCA lobbyist with The Welch Group, as well as WCA President Tressa Lacy.
The conference highlight is a keynote presentation by Tucker Brown titled A Real-World Look at Modern Ranching, Advocacy, and Business. Drawing from his experience as a sixth-generation rancher at the R.A. Brown Ranch in Throckmorton, Texas, Brown will share how telling agriculture’s story, embracing media, and building relationships beyond the fence line can create new revenue opportunities, protect the beef industry, and help bring the next generation back to the ranch.
In addition to the keynote, a limited number of attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive private workshop with Tucker Brown prior to the conference for an additional fee. Space is limited.
Brown operates the historic R.A. Brown Ranch alongside his family, where they develop and sell more than 800 registered bulls annually. Through social media, he has built a following of more than 750,000 people by sharing the realities of modern ranching in an educational and engaging way. His advocacy efforts have earned him the NCBA Beef Advocate of the Year Award and recognition from national media outlets, including Vanity Fair.
Following lunch, attendees will hear from a variety of industry experts and panelists addressing timely issues impacting Wisconsin’s cattle industry, including:
- Bob Mitchell, DNR Wolf Advisory Committee
- Dr. Brenda Boetel, University of Wisconsin–River Falls
- Animal Health/Nutrition Presentation
- Dr. Amy Radunz, Purina Animal Health
