OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One man was arrested and another is critically injured after a shooting in Oshkosh.
It happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of W. 9th Avenue.
Authorities say a man entered the Oshkosh Police Department and told the telecommunications staff that he had just shot someone inside a residence. Officers immediately responded to the home and discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital and is “currently receiving medical treatment for life-threatening injuries.” The suspect and victim knew each other and this was an isolated incident, according to police.
The suspect, a 32-year-old Oshkosh man, was booked on recommended charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and possession of methamphetamine.
