OSHKOSH, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) – A Winnebago County judge has refused a change of venue request by former Oshkosh West High School student Grant Fuhrman.
The 17-year-old appeared by video in court Wednesday. He’s accused of attacking a school resource officer last December. Prosecutors say Fuhrman used a pronged barbecue fork to stab Officer Michael Wissink multiple times. Wissink fired his weapon to stop the attack and that caused a panic in the high school. Both Fuhman and Wissink were hit by gunfire.
Fuhrman has an arraignment hearing scheduled for July 20th.
