MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The state Department of Health Services on Sunday has reported 240 new COVID-19 cases as just 9,207 test results were gathered.
It is the lowest amount of results gathered in a day since Thursday, June 11, when 9,275 results were in.
The 240 new cases accounts for 2.6% of the results from Sunday, which is a slight increase from Saturday’s 2.4%.
The number of newly reported cases form Sunday is a decrease from Saturday’s 272 positive results.
The DHS is reporting one new COVID-19 related death. COVID-19 has now taken the lives of 692 people.
Since the start of the pandemic, Wisconsin has seen a total of 22,758 positive COVID-19 test results and 397,366 negative results.
As of Sunday 16,558 cases have since recovered from the new virus, 775 more than what was reported from Saturday.
State hospitals are reporting that 3,055 of the 11,506 hospital beds are immediately available.
There are 289 COVID patients receiving hospital care, four more than Saturday. 101 of those patients receiving intensive care.
184 inpatients in hospitals are still waiting for COVID test results to come back.
The state has a supply of 1,270 ventilators with 311 of those in use.
