(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Wisconsin football team has lost another player this offseason.
Running back Cade Yacamelli announced Tuesday that he will enter the transfer portal once it opens next month.
Yacamelli carried the ball 38 times for 128 yards this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Badgers play Nebraska: The Wisconsin men’s basketball team travels to Nebraska to take on the undefeated Cornhuskers tonight.
The Huskers are still high from a 71-50 blasting of Creighton last weekend.
They carry a 9-and-0 record and are led by Rienk Mast, who’s averaging 18 points and six rebounds per game.
Badgers coach Greg Gard talked about on preparing for Nebraska’s loud fan base inside Pinnacle Bank Arena (Lincoln).

Ball inducted: One of the Badgers’ most decorated running backs, two-time All-American Montee Ball was inducted into the NFF College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in Las Vegas.
The NFF helds its Annual Awards Dinner at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, honoring 18 players and four coaches who make up the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class.
Ball assembled a legendary career as a Badger, becoming one of the most prolific scorers in college football history and helping the Badgers to three consecutive Rose Bowl appearances from 2010-12. Ball was a two-time consensus First Team All-American (2011, 2012) and won the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s best running back in 2012.
