WINNEBAGO CO, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities in Wisconsin say federal prosecutors have charged a high-ranking New York City education official for allegedly using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that police say prosecutors were expected to provide more information today about the case against David Arnold Hay.
Charges were filed Thursday but court documents have not been released yet.
Hay was deputy chief of staff for the school’s chancellor at New York City’s Department of Education. The department fired him after his arrest.
It’s unknown whether Hay has an attorney yet.
The New York Post says Hay, 39, was arrested Sunday by Neenah investigators at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.
Hay was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on a charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
