OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — They’ve busted out an earthmover to help alleviate flooding in Oconto.
A barge carrying an excavator headed down the Oconto river Friday to break up and remove ice from the river.
An ice jam led to severe flooding there earlier this week. Many roads were blocked.
There were some volunteer evacuations, according to city officials, but nothing approaching a mandatory level.
