OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – UW-Oshkosh is hoping to see more international students on its campuses.
The university has partnered with Kings Education to launch a new international student recruitment program.
It aims at placing students from around the world at universities in the U.S. and U.K.
The Oshkosh campus has collaborated with Kings since 2017.
Since then, its international student population soared from 22 to more than 100 students.
A recently approved six-year contract with Kings will now also provide international student recruitment for all three UW-Oshkosh campuses.
“You want to try and recruit from as many different areas, both within the state, within the country and also internationally, in order to truly make a robust student population,” said UW-Oshkosh Dean of Students, Art Munin.
Kings is projecting to bring 82 undergraduate and 14 graduate students to the Oshkosh campus, alone for fall 2020.
