ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Packers, Seahawks and everyone heading out to Lambeau Field today for the NFC Divisional Playoff game won’t have to worry about a snow covered stadium.
Not only did the anticipated winter storm–which earlier in the week had threatened to dump up to 12 inches of snow on the area–fail to drop more than a dusting of snow, but 350 volunteers shoveled out what needed to be shoveled from Lambeau Field early this morning. It took about 40 minutes before they were sent home.
The Packers originally called for 700 shovelers, but due to the change in forecast, the number was cut in half.
Some flurries are still expected this afternoon, during game time.
