WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Prosecutors have re-filed charges against Casey Cameron in connection with the murder of Kevin “Hollywood” Hein at a Neenah bar, and added four new charges against him.
Cameron allegedly went to rob the Short Branch Saloon October 14th. Hein followed Cameron out of the bar, when Cameron allegedly shot him, according to the complaint.
Cameron was scheduled to enter a plea to three charges on Thursday. However, on Wednesday, the Winnebago County District Attorney’s office re-filed the case and added four counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety — one for each of four other people in the tavern at the time.
Cameron made an initial appearance Wednesday. A $750,000 bond was set, matching the bond set in the original case. The next court appearance is for ‘further proceedings’ on January 23rd, court records show.
Police matched DNA from a bandana left at the scene with DNA found on a cigarette Cameron tossed from a vehicle as he was being followed by police.
