FOND DU LAC (WTAQ-WLUK) – No one was hurt after a small fire broke out at the Portland Square Apartments in Fond du Lac Saturday evening.
Fire crews were called for a report of smoke on the second floor at 5:53 p.m.
Fond du Lac Fire says the fire was confined to a single unit on the third floor and the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The lone occupant of the unit was not home when residents noticed the fire. The Red Cross is assisting that person who is displaced as a result of the fire.
All residents were temporarily evacuated.
An investigation has started to find out more about the fire.
