(WTAQ-WLUK) — A longshot candidate for Wisconsin governor is dropping out of the race.
Ryan Strnad announced the end of his campaign on Tuesday. He endorsed Democratic Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.
“I want to thank every person who supported this campaign,” Strnad said in a statement. “I ran to give working class families a voice and to deliver results for communities that have long been overlooked. I believe David Crowley is the candidate who can hit the ground running, fight for families, and begin delivering those results for Wisconsin starting on day one.”
Strnad, of Mukwonago, has worked as a beer vendor at Milwaukee Brewers games for nearly 40 years.
The race for governor in 2026 is open after Gov. Tony Evers announced he would not run for re-election.
