TOWN OF FRIENDSHIP, WI (WTAQ) – Fire raced through a storage business near Fond du Lac Monday night.
The Fond Du Lac Sheriff’s Department says just after 11 p.m., a passerby reported smoke coming from one of the units at Barber Enterprises, N7805 Minnesota Ave., in the Town of Friendship.
By the time crews arrived, flames were visible.
Deputies say the fire destroyed 5 of the 19 units. The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the building itself; the value of the contents inside was not known.
Investigators say the fire does not appear to be suspicious. The cause is still being investigated.
No one was injured.
