GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Hospital Sisters Health System and Prevea Health will continue to accept Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield health insurance.
The companies announced a multi-year agreement Monday. Hospitals covered in the new agreement are St. Vincent and St. Mary’s in Green Bay; St. Nicholas in Sheboygan; and St. Clare Memorial in Oconto Falls.
“Our number one priority as physicians is our patients and we are pleased an agreement has been reached so our Anthem patients can continue to receive the high quality care they have come to know and trust at Prevea Health and the HSHS hospitals in Eastern Wisconsin,” Dr. Ashok Rai, Prevea president and CEO, said in a news release.
“We are grateful our partnership with Anthem will continue into the future as we provide health, healing and hope for all we care for in Eastern Wisconsin,” Andy Bagnall, president and CEO of HSHS Wisconsin, said in a news release.
“We work every day to assure our consumers have access to quality health care that is affordable, which requires working collaboratively with our care provider partners to reach contracts that achieve that goal,” Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin president Paul Nobile said in a news release. “With Wisconsin health care costs among the highest in the nation, this agreement is a particular win for consumers because both parties worked together to moderate costs and further the trend toward value-based health care models.”
The companies say their new contract includes new “value-based care arrangements.” A value-based care arrangement is described as a payment model that connects higher reimbursements to providers who produce quality outcomes.
