CHILTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Evan Schultz was sentenced to 10 years in prison for supplying the drugs which killed a woman.
Schultz, 36, was also placed on extended supervision for 10 years at Tuesday’s sentencing by Judge Jeffrey Froehlich, court records show.
Schultz provided the carfentanil which killed Kristy Austin at an Appleton apartment on April 16, 2017. A jury convicted him of first-degree reckless homicide.
Security camera video from a convenience store shows the two meeting hours before her death. Another jail inmate told police Schultz described the sale to him, the complaint states.
