APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Family and friends said goodbye to a three-year-old Appleton girl Tuesday.
Zyana Corbin was killed in a stabbing last month.
Zyana’s family laid her to rest Tuesday, prompting the community to show their support by wearing pink, the girl’s favorite color.
Last night, the Appleton Police Department and Houdini Plaza lit up in pink.
Zyana’s father, Lyndon Corbin, placed a candle outside the police department.
“Zyana was a very happy child, she loved playing especially with other kids. She loved learning, she loved just being happy. She was a very very happy baby.”
The lights will stay pink in Zyana’s honor for the next several nights.
