GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The league in which the Green Bay Gamblers hockey team plays is suspending its season.
According to a post made to Facebook by the Gamblers on Thursday, the Chicago-based USHL will suspend games until further notice. All hockey activities, including practices, workouts and meetings have also been suspended.
USHL officials say the decision was made with the best interest of USHL athletes, staff, officials and fans in mind.
The move comes as the state of Wisconsin has recommended the cancellation of all public events with more than 250 attendees. A Public Health Emergency was declared Thursday.
