(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) GREEN BAY – Marcus Hall notched a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to help the Green Bay men’s basketball team take down the Ripon Red Hawks 83-63 at home on Monday.
The Phoenix had four players score in double figures, led by Hall’s 21 points and team-high 10 boards. Mac Wrecke added 13 points, and C.J. O’Hara chipped in with 11 points and two steals
Green Bay shared the ball well in Monday’s game, with 23 of the team’s 29 field goals being assisted. Preston Ruedinger’s seven assists led the Phoenix, followed by Hall’s four. The Phoenix cashed in 52.7 percent of their 55 attempted shots.
Green Bay forced 13 Ripon turnovers while committing only nine themselves. The Phoenix turned those takeaways into 17 points on the other end of the floor.
Ripon was led by an 18-point, five-rebound performance from Jarton Davis. Kolby Williams and Kennan Rahn finished with 11 each.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Following intermission, Green Bay widened the margin to 52-44 before going on an 8-0 run to grow the lead to 60-44 with 13:07 to go in the contest. The Phoenix kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 83-63 win.
