FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Fox Crossing Police Department released footage of a crash on Interstate 41.
Authorities were responding to several single vehicle crashes near the Winchester Road exit on Monday morning. Officials say the five crashes happened between 6:33 a.m. and the video crash at 7:07 a.m.
In the video, you can see an officer crossing the exit ramp to help a stranded vehicle, that’s when a red car crash into the stranded vehicle and the officer gets out of the way.
Authorities say the driver of the red car was a 23-year-old man who lost control on the ice, hit a semi-truck and overcorrected,crashing into the other vehicle.
The driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
Officials say only minor injuries were reported, the name of the officer involved has not been released.
