LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Due to COVID-19, the Class of 2020 is experiencing an unusual end to their senior year.
With school closed for the remainder of the year, many students are struggling with what they’re missing out on: senior trips, spring sports and most importantly, senior graduation.
To recognize and celebrate the class of 2020, teachers and staff from the Little Chute Area School District placing more than 100 signs in the yards of senior students.
Principal of Little Chute High School, Tony Bird, tells FOX 11 it’s the least they could do to for the seniors.
“The favorite part of this should be the staff coming here, they’re excited to do it, but to knock on a few doors and see the looks on seniors’ faces, that’s why we do this.”
The school says they plan to do other things for the senior class to make them feel special during this unprecedented time.
