(ST. NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College senior Ally Boyer has been named the Midwest Conference’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
Boyer, a Kiel native and high school graduate, led the Green Knights to two dual victories over Lawrence University and UW-Stevens Point, winning four events against the Pointers.
Her time of 1:07.88 in the 100-yard breaststroke is the top time in the conference by over two seconds while her 200-yard breaststroke time of 2:26.61 is both the top time in the conference and currently ranks in the top 20 times of the NCAA Division III ranks.
The award is the first in her career.
To the frozen water: St. Norbert College freshman Tanith Plachetka has been named to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association’s Three Stars of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
Plachetka, a Greenville native, made 33 saves in St. Norbert’s overtime win over No. 5 Gustavus Adolphus College, including eight stops in the extra period.
The award is the first in her career.
