GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Just 12 new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus were reported in Brown County on Wednesday, the lowest jump in total cases in over a month.
Officials reported 1,993 total confirmed cases of the virus between Brown County and the Oneida Nation on Wednesday, up from 1,981 on Tuesday.
There have been 20 deaths. Over 350 patients are out of isolation and recovering.
This comes even as testing has opened to a wider portion of the population than ever. As of Wednesday, anyone who lives or works in Brown County, regardless of symptoms or essential status, can get tested for the virus.
Health Department spokesperson Claire Paprocki says she expects numbers to ebb and flow as testing ramps up. Tests take around 5-7 days to be added to the overall county total after contact tracing is performed.
