FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An iconic Fond du Lac restaurant says it’s closing its doors permanently after more than 80 years.
The owner’s of Schreiner’s Restaurant made the announcement on Facebook.
They say they came to the difficult decision due to the economics associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Facebook post, the family-owned restaurant opened in 1938, with its current owner, Paul Cunningham beginning his Schreiner’s career in 1969 as a 15-year-old busboy.
