APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An Appleton man was arrested on suspicion of his sixth operating while intoxicated offense after crashing into a house Wednesday night.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says just after 10:30 p.m., Appleton police called for troopers’ help to investigate the crash because of a potential conflict of interest.
Troopers conducted a field sobriety test and arrested the driver, 46-year-old Jason P. Zastrow.
Online court records show Zastrow has five prior OWI convictions. Most recently, he was sentenced to one year in jail in 2009 after being convicted in Oconto County.
Zastrow is awaiting formal charges.
