GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — A person protesting the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis spread mulch on the Green Bay Police Department’s Police Memorial.
Police say the protester put the mulch on the memorial so he could stand on top of it without slipping off. When asked to get off the memorial the man complied and officers and at least one protester moved in to clean the memorial off.
In a press release, police officers urged attendees to be respectful of the memorial.
