MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Wednesday marked another record day of COVID-19 testing in Wisconsin, but the positive rate continues to stay low.
Over 16,000 tests were returned on Wednesday with 483 positive tests for a rate of 2.9% positive.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 19,400 Wisconsinites have tested positive for the virus. Over 60% have recovered and 607 people have died.
Brown County still has the highest rate of positive tests in the county with 2,350 confirmed cases and a rate of 904.6 cases per 100,000 people, but it also has a low fatality rate at 2%. Thirty seven Brown County residents have died of the virus.
