GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The cases involving two friends of former Green Bay Packers’ player Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila appeared headed for resolution short of trial.
Ryan DeSmith and Jordan Salmi each face three misdemeanor charges for the Dec. 17 incident: carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction and disorderly conduct.
Trials had been scheduled for Wednesday, but on Monday plea hearings were scheduled for June 24. The parties appeared by video due to court rules limiting in-person court hearings.
The two men allegedly showed up armed at a Christmas pageant and refused to leave. Gbaja-Biamila did not want his children to participate in the event, and posted several videos to YouTube explaining that he directed the two men to record the Christmas show.
