GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — In Green Bay Sunday, more than 100 people celebrated Easter together at Grace Lutheran Church.
The church has hosted an Easter dinner every year since 2002.
Organizers say it’s all about giving back to the community, serving a free meal of ham, sides, and homemade desserts.
About 30 volunteers help make it happen, calling it a true community effort supported by donations.
“We are a very caring congregation from Grace Lutheran Church and we really want to put this on every year because it gives everybody a break from high prices and hopefully if they come here we’ll give them a little bit of friendship in exchange for a little bit of fulfillment for us,” said Cheryl Kramer of Grace Lutheran Church.
None of the leftovers went to waste– any remaining food is donated to local shelters.
