MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person is dead following a UTV crash in the Town of Stephenson.
Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller says Marinette County Dispatch was notified of a single UTV crash Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred on Caldron Falls Road near Fawn Lane.
The incident was reported by an off-duty Marinette County Sheriff’s detective, who found the UTV rolled over on the side of the road. They found that there were two people pinned under the vehicle and began rendering aid.
According to the investigation, the UTV operated by 40-year-old Brooke Boulanger of Crivitz failed to maneuver a curve and rolled over.
Boulanger was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt and sustained fatal injuries from the crash.
The passenger was also not wearing a seatbelt or helmet, sustained injuries and was transported for further treatment.
Alcohol and speed appear to have been other factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation
