Brady Peeters (Marinette Co. Jail)
MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Iron Mountain, Michigan man was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the fatal overdose of a Marinette County man.
Brady Peeters was convicted following a jury trial on Jan. 15, 2026 of first-degree reckless homicide for delivering fentanyl which caused the January 2021 death of Casey Ashburn in the city of Niagara.
Peeters was previously sentenced to eight years in prison for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl in 2024 for a separate incident in March of 2021.
The new sentence will run consecutive to the 2024 sentence.
The other four codefendants in the fatal overdose case, Jack Sigel, Travis Ambrosius, Adam Recla and Chandon Geralds, were previously sentenced for their roles and are currently in prison.
