Position Description:
The Wisconsin FFA Center Board is seeking a Managing Director of Chapter and Member Programming for the Wisconsin FFA Center. The Managing Director of Chapter and Member Programming is responsible for developing, evaluating, revising, and managing chapter and member recognition programs that are in alignment with the goals of the Wisconsin Association of FFA. This remote position will assist in overseeing the operations of the Wisconsin FFA Center. The Managing Director of Chapter and Member Programming ensures that the Wisconsin Association of FFA utilizes innovative methodologies and technologies in order to successfully recognize and provide programming for the development of chapter and member recognition opportunities. This is accomplished by taking advantage of professional growth opportunities such as NASAE membership, National Team Ag Ed Inservice, etc. Qualified candidates must possess the ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple programs simultaneously; and have a strong understanding of current recognition programs, finance management, and new and emerging concepts in chapter and member development.
Responsibilities:
- Regular and consistent communication to agricultural educators, Team Ag Ed partners, and Wisconsin FFA Center staff.
- Update and maintain records of awards, degrees, participation, etc. and make them available to local chapters.
- Provide updates and participate in board meetings including those of Team Ag Ed, Wisconsin FFA Center, Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators (WAAE), Wisconsin FFA Alumni and Supporters, Wisconsin FFA Foundation, and Wisconsin Association of FFA.
- Be an active participant in WAAE committee work
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate the review and recognition of state and national applications including Proficiency Awards, State Degrees, American Degrees, Star Awards, Agriscience, National Chapter, etc.
- Work with national award applicants on preparing to compete at the national level.
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate LDEs at the District, Sectional, State and National Levels in collaboration with district and sectional hosts.
- Collaborate with WAAE CDE Coordinators to plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate CDEs at the District, Sectional, State and National Levels.
- Collaborate with Wisconsin FFA Center staff for the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of the Wisconsin State Convention.
- Collaborate with partners to conduct the World Dairy Expo FFA contests & WI FFA Safe Tractor Operators Contest.
- Provide professional development and training for teachers and other members of Team Ag Ed on awards and recognition areas.
- Work with the State Officer Team regarding student and chapter recognition throughout the year.
- Manage SAE for All programming.
- Work with the Wisconsin Team Ag Ed Website in collaboration partners to keep information up to date and accurate.
- In collaboration with the Wisconsin Association of FFA Board of Directors and Wisconsin FFA Center Board of Directors, develop strategies, incentives, and programs to stimulate the development of WIsconsin FFA.
- And all other duties that are assigned by the Wisconsin FFA Center Board or the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resource Consultant at DPI.
Qualifications:
The Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria
- 3 years teaching or related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, leadership, or other related field
- Strong knowledge and background of agriculture, agricultural education, and FFA including FFA programs and applications
- Strong vision for moving Wisconsin FFA forward through program assessment and innovation ● Strong leadership and facilitation skills including strong interpersonal and collaboration skills ● Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events, applications and contests at the same time.
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong technology skills with a variety of platforms, including Google applications (docs,sheets, forms, Google Meets); Canva, Zoom, etc.
- Strong financial management skills, experience working with QuickBooks preferred ● Flexibility when working with all Team Ag entities
Start Date: August 1, 2026
Salary: Salary based on experience.
