SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Plans for a new Shawano County courthouse are moving forward.
The County Board on Wednesday unanimously approved a resolution approving borrowing up to $121 million for the Courthouse and jail. The vote was 27-0, according to clerk Raymond Rigsby.
Plans call for a two-story courthouse west of the current facility, plus a 150-bed housing pod.
Other approvals are still needed before the projects are finalized.
