MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A registered sex offender from Manitowoc is facing new charges.
Brandon Lemerond, 20, was indicted Tuesday on two counts of obscene visual depictions of the sexual abuse of children, one count of production of child pornography and three counts of commission of a felony sex offense by an individual required to register as a sexual offender. Authorities say the alleged offenses took place in July 2025.
If convicted of the child obscenity crime, Lemerond faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison and up to 40 years in prison.
The production of child pornography charge carries a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison and up to 50 years in prison.
If convicted of committing a new criminal offense against a child while on the sex offender registry, Lemerond must be given a mandatory 10-year term consecutive to any other sentence.
