OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A teenager was convicted for an Oshkosh shooting, and will be sentenced May 8.
Vautrell Section, 17, pleaded no contest Thursday to a count of first-degree recklessly endangering safety – which was reduced from an attempted homicide charge – and two other counts for the Aug. 9 incident, court records show.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, around 2 p.m., officers received reports of gunfire in the area of Central St. and W. Irving Ave. After canvassing the area, authorities found the victim, a 20-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to his arm.
Police determined the shooting took place in the 600 block of Franklin Street.
In Wisconsin, 17-year-olds are charged in adult court.
