WAUTOMA (WTAQ-WLUK) – Randy Jenks allegedly stabbed and killed his grandmother at a rural Waushara County home Saturday before fleeing for Utah, a criminal complaint alleges.
Jenks, 36, faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide. Jenks was arrested in Ogden, Utah, on Sunday.
Ogden police received a report Jenks was in the area. He surrendered into police custody without incident.
No court dates in Wisconsin have been scheduled.
According to the complaint, police were called to the Mount Morris home to do a welfare check of the 75-year-old resident. Police found her lying on the floor, with dried blood around her.
Relatives told police Jenks confessed to the murder.
“I stabbed grandma in the living room, on the floor,” a relative told police. A relative added that the grandmother had “pushed him too far,” the complaint states.
Jenks had lived at the home for more than a year, according to the complaint.
